The Dog With A Curved, Warped Face Always Longs For A Loving Home

The story of Woody, a dog with a crooked nose and an unfinished puppyhood, is one of heartbreak, survival, and the long wait for love.

When Woody was just five weeks old, he was attacked by another dog and forced to heal without veterinary care, according to SNARR Animal Rescue.

After being tied up and abandoned outside by his owner, Woody survived alone for six weeks, relying on the kindness of neighbors who brought him food until SNARR arrived to save him.

SNARR later revealed on Facebook that Woody’s family had moved away and left him behind, writing, “We chose to remove him from this loveless environment.”

Although his face appeared distorted from early trauma, Woody had no ongoing health issues, and rescuers said his unique look only made them love him more.

But what won everyone over wasn’t just his appearance—it was his heart, as Woody quickly proved to be deeply affectionate and emotionally intuitive.

When Woody first arrived at his foster home, his adoptive mother, Jamie Bond, was sick with a fever, and the dog immediately stayed by her side, sensing she needed comfort.

“He spent the whole afternoon curled up on the couch with me,” she shared, adding that now Woody follows her like a shadow, always making sure she’s safe and loved.

At eight months old, Woody is making up for lost time, embracing his puppy energy and showing nothing but joy, affection, and loyalty.

Despite his resilience and charm, SNARR wanted to ensure Woody’s next chapter would be his best one, carefully screening anyone interested in giving him a permanent home.

They explained that Woody needs a cat-free home—since he loves to chase them—and would thrive best in a household with only female dogs.

Currently being raised with four female dogs, Woody is doing wonderfully, and while he’s great with kids, a home with older children and dogs is recommended due to his large size and high energy.

After months of waiting and searching, SNARR shared an emotional update—Woody has finally found his forever home with a loving family who adores him.

Photos show Woody happy and settled in, surrounded by new friends, and beginning a life filled with the love and security he always deserved.

We wish Woody nothing but happiness in his new home and thank the family who opened their hearts to give him the fresh start he so deeply earned.
