Because he was in such awful shape, a poor dog lay motionless in the roadway, ignored by countless passersby who did nothing to help him in his time of desperate need.
The sweet dog, suffering from a broken pelvis, whimpered in pain until rescuers finally arrived and rushed him to the vet, where he received antibiotics and treatment for a dangerously high fever brought on by a severe infection.
He soon underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured pelvis, and with caregivers constantly by his side, he began to eat again and show signs of resilience.
In time, the dog learned to stand and take his own steps, but though he had made great progress, his road to full recovery was far from over.
Thanks to daily physical therapy, he continues to grow stronger, and once he has completely healed, he will be ready to find a loving forever home.
